Community Profile

The Central Highlands Regional Council's Community Profile - profile.id

The Community Profile enables you to analyse local community characteristics, understand how they have changed over time and how they compare to other areas.

The profile presents data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Census of Population and Housing in 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991 for the local government area, and for smaller areas within it.  The information is presented in easy to use tables, charts and written commentary on a range of Census variables.

The profile answers most of the frequently asked socio-demographic questions and assists Council, the general public, students, community groups, organisations, business and investors to become more informed about the community.

This online community profiling tool allows you to view Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Census data and generate PDF reports on the Towns and smaller areas within the Central Highlands Regional Council (Statistical Local Areas). These reports (with maps, tables and charts) contain Census demographic information including age and gender profiles, multicultural diversity, housing and tenure types, incomes and workforce, education, employment and family composition for the selected area. The community profile will also allow users to compare results for their selected area to Central Highlands Regional Council, Fitzroy Statistical Division, Queensland and Australia.
