Disaster Recovery Booklet

All communities can be prone to disasters, both natural events like floods and bushfires, and others such as chemical hazards. Every person can take simple, practical steps to be prepared to respond to a disaster.

The Central Highlands Regional Council is preparing a series of booklets for its local communities to assist residents and visitors become better informed about disaster situations, how to prepare, respond and recover.

The first of these is the Emerald and Gemfields Region Preparing and Responding to Disasters – A Residents Guide.

Download a copy of this booklet.

Residents Guides for other areas will be available as they are developed over time.
