Central Highlands Regional Council provides the region’s community and visitors with two exhibition spaces – the Emerald Art Gallery and the Bauhinia Bicentennial Art Gallery at Springsure.
The Central Highlands Regional Galleries aim to encourage, stimulate and promote local and regional artistic and cultural activities through a diverse program of local, touring and curated exhibitions.
Exhibitions feature artists, art and craft groups, schools, community organisations and social, cultural and historical collections. These are complemented by a range of events including floor talks, visiting artists, opening nights, morning teas, competitions and workshops.
The visitors’ books record that the galleries are appreciated not only by locals but also by the many visitors passing through Emerald and Springsure while exploring the Central Highlands.
