Briefing from Council January 29 2012 10.30 am

Thunderstorms and rainfall overnight brought heavy rain over parts of the catchment area, particularly in the Retreat, Medway, Borilla and Springsure Creek catchments. It has also caused road closures and some flooding across the Central Highlands. The region is likely to continue to experience showers and localised thunderstorms which may bring further heavy showers today. These may further impact our roads. Council is keeping in regular touch with the Bureau of Meteorology and local authorities. A further update will be provided later today.
