This year, Council is offering smaller communities in the region an opportunity to apply for $100 grants if they plan on holding a local event in their town.

Smaller communities including Arcadia Valley, Bauhinia, Bluff, Comet, Dingo, Duaringa, Rolleston and the Gemfields, are encouraged to submit a written application to Council to help fund an event.

It would be great to have celebrations in each of the towns within the Central Highlands. These grants may assist with event costs, such as providing food for a BBQ.

Upon receiving written applications, Central Highlands Regional Council will issue one grant per town, to be decided after the closing date (extended until 5pm on 18 January 2013). If there is more than one Community group who wishes to hold an event in each town, Council recommends that they join together and share the grant.
